It’s not only about the pictures – every piece of content should take visuals into consideration.  If you look at click through rates on emails you’ll find if you use HTML and include good visuals including a picture you’ll get higher click through.  Look at web pages with highly visualized content as opposed to text – although this does depend on WHO you are (check out my favorite website Berkshire Hathaway).  It may seem like a (Captain) obvious statement – but then why aren’t we all doing it – especially if it’s having an impact.  MDG Advertising put together an infographic  (below) that illustrates the influence of images on a company’s business, branding, search, and social media efforts.
